Risk assessments
We perform quantitative and qualitative risk assessments for support in our clients safety design. We also have the capability to perform detailed probabilistic explosion and fire assessments.
QRAs (Quantitative risk analyses) are primarily used for specifying design accidental loads at a level which assures accpetable risk at the installation. Lilleaker has supported several development projects in doing so. We second risk analysts to the FEED/EPC contractor such that the QRA becomes an important and integral part of the project. This has shown to be a preferred way of working over the last 10 - 15 years.
"Stand - alone QRAs" carried out in Lilleaker's offices are also provided when appropriate, typically for installations already in operation.
We apply the following software for QRA:
ASAP - a complete risk analysis package for hydrocarbon leaks, though with support from:
Flacs - CFD code used for natural ventilation, gas dispersion and explosion simulations.
KFX - CFD code used for fire simulations.
Our analysts have up to 30 years of experience with QRAs and saftey engineering. We nominate teams with analysts possessing different experience for cost effective execution and guarantee issuing of deliverables according to Client's needs.
